A whole host of leading Barcelona players reported to the club’s training base on Thursday, despite having been afforded the day off to rest.

This of course comes ahead of a crucial outing for the Blaugrana this coming weekend.

Hansi Flick’s troops are fresh off being condemned to a first defeat of the campaign on Tuesday, at the hands of reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Barca’s challenging schedule, though, does not let up there, with a La Liga showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid to come at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday night.

Amid a testing stretch for his squad as a collective, Hansi Flick therefore made the call to afford Barcelona’s players an extra day of rest on Thursday.

But as alluded to above, despite as much, a number of high-profile stars nevertheless reported to the Ciutat Esportiva. As per a report from journalist Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport, all of the following were spotted at the Catalans’ training base earlier today:

Pedri, Fermín López, Gerard Martín, Xavi Espart, Wojciech Szczęsny and Lamine Yamal, as well as the injured Roony Bardghji, Andreas Christensen, Jules Koundé, Eric García and Dani Olmo.
