Arsenal New Signing - Attackers
Arsenal must plan their January recruitment around the demands of a long season, with Mikel Arteta needing enough attacking options to maintain his team’s intensity across domestic and European competitions. Adding another forward would make little sense unless the signing addresses a specific weakness, particularly with transfer fees and squad roles demanding careful consideration.
Three players stand out for different reasons. Nicolò Tresoldi offers penalty-box instincts, Eli Junior Kroupi brings proven Premier League goalscoring potential, while Kevin Schade provides pace and direct running from wide areas. This is an editorial shortlist, rather than a claim that Arsenal have opened negotiations with any of them.
Arsenal New Signing: 3 Attackers Arteta Should Target
1. Nicolò Tresoldi, Club Brugge
Tresoldi should interest Arsenal after his outstanding start to the season. The German youth international scored eight goals in his first 11 appearances across all competitions, including four in the Champions League. His hat-trick helped Club Brugge beat Inter Milan 4-3 on October 13.
The 22-year-old offers sharp movement inside the penalty area and the confidence to finish quickly under pressure. Arsenal could use that instinct when opponents defend deep and restrict the space available to their midfield runners. However, Brugge have little reason to sell in January, and Tresoldi’s contract runs until 2029. Any deal would require a convincing offer.
2. Eli Junior Kroupi, Bournemouth
Kroupi deserves serious consideration after scoring 13 Premier League goals in 33 appearances during his first season at Bournemouth. The French forward showed that he could convert chances consistently despite starting 21 league matches.
At 20, he can still improve his movement, decision-making and link-up play. His ability to operate centrally or move into wider positions would give Arteta useful options when rotating his front line. Bournemouth have tied Kroupi to a contract until 2030, however, so Arsenal should expect difficult negotiations rather than a bargain.
3. Kevin Schade, Brentford
Schade offers something different: pace, physical strength and a willingness to attack space behind defenders. The 24-year-old German has scored three goals and supplied one assist in seven Premier League appearances during the 2026/27 season.
Arsenal could use him against teams that defend narrowly, particularly when their wingers need another option to stretch the back line. Schade’s contract runs until 2028, giving Brentford a strong negotiating position. His estimated market value sits around £39m, although Arsenal would need to establish Brentford’s actual asking price.
For Arsenal, Kroupi offers the strongest combination of youth and Premier League experience, Tresoldi brings specialist finishing, and Schade supplies a direct wide threat. If Arteta can fund only one addition, a versatile forward who contributes immediately should take priority over an expensive project with no clear route into the starting side.
