The reigning NBA champions have joined the Minnesota Timberwolves as two of the latest teams named as monitoring the former Los Angeles Lakers guard.
Dalton Knecht has officially entered unrestricted free agency after clearing waivers.
The Los Angeles Lakers officially released Dalton Knecht last Monday, becoming the team's eventual sheddable piece to meet the league's 15-man lineup requirement heading into the 2026-27 NBA season.
After averaging 9.1 points in 19.2 minutes across 78 games (16 starts) in his rookie campaign, Knecht saw limited exposure and tallied just 4.2 points in 10.2 minutes per 54 games last season.
Both the Sacramento Kings and the Toronto Raptors were previously reported as interested teams as well for the former No. 17 pick.
