CHICAGO — Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez is active after being downgraded to questionable with an illness less than 40 minutes before inactives.

Gonzalez warmed up as usual even after being listed as questionable.

Here’s the Patriots’ full list of inactives:

G Ben Brown (knee)

CB Carlton Davis III (neck)

CB Channing Canada (hamstring)

CB Karon Prunty (hamstring)

QB Behren Morton (emergency third QB)

DT Joshua Farmer

Notes:

• The Patriots placed left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker on injured reserve Thursday afternoon. Walter Rouse will start in his place. Matt Pryor will start at right guard in place of Brown.

• Caleb Lomu, Dametrious Crownover and Xavier Newman-Johnson will back up Will Campbell, Jared Wilson, Morgan Moses, Rouse and Pryor on the offensive line.

• The Patriots will dress Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, Charles Woods and Kindle Vildor at cornerback. Safety Elliott Davison can also play cornerback in a pinch.

• Morton can only enter Thursday night’s game if Drake Maye and backup Tommy DeVito both suffer injuries. He would need to leave the game if Maye or DeVito get medically cleared.

• With Farmer inactive, the Patriots have Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Cory Durden, DaQuan Jones and Leonard Taylor III active.

• The Patriots elevated Newman-Johnson and outside linebacker Benton Whitley from the practice squad.
