Yaxel Lendeborg locked horns with Luka Doncic at the season opener between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Both players went off for a physical matchup and a highly verbal exchange, as Lendeborg embraced the challenge of guarding the Lakers superstar.
Both sides reached the boiling point in the second quarter, with Lendeborg keeping the talk while earning a technical foul while Doncic draining a buzzer-beater entering halftime.
In his postgame address after the Warriors' 127-105 loss, Lendeborg stated that he lost all his respect for Doncic due to his constant whining and complaining to the officials.
Lendeborg and Doncic will be meeting again on the Lakers and the Warriors' NBA Cup group play rematch next Friday.
