LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers looked for their second win as they hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Thursday for their home opener.

The 76ers were coming off a victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, 106-100, on Tuesday.

The action between the 76ers and the Cavaliers picked up in the third quarter. Unfortunately, VJ Edgecombe suffered a bloody nose after colliding with James when they both went for the rebound after a missed free throw by Jarrett Allen.

Luckily, it was not severe, and Edgecombe stayed in the game.

The friendly fire showed that the 21-year-old Edgecombe and the 41-year-old James still have to work on their chemistry, including learning each other's tendencies and habits.

Before the season, Edgecombe admitted that it is surreal to be on the same team as the four-time MVP.

“(James) is exactly old enough to be my dad, which is crazy. I ain't gonna lie. His son is older than me, which is crazy,” said the high-flying sophomore.

He stressed that James and Philadelphia's other veterans have helped him become more assertive as a leader.

“I have men around me who are really respectful, and they hear me out so they don't just shut me down. It's just important that I always make my voice heard because we live in a world where people try to lessen your voice and I’m not going for that,” said Edgecombe.

As of this writing, Philadelphia leads Cleveland by a slim margin in the fourth quarter. James has 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Edgecombe has 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
