Everton dial in SIM-only mobile contracts linked to club rewards

October 23 – Everton have launched Everton Mobile, a SIM-only phone service that links monthly contracts to club rewards, moving the club further into consumer products beyond merchandise and memberships.

There are three plans, all with unlimited UK calls and texts on O2 or Vodafone coverage. Essential costs £15 a month with 25GB of UK data. Plus costs £20 with unlimited UK data. Both run on 30-day rolling contracts. Ultimate costs £25 a month on a 24-month contract, with unlimited UK data and 35GB of EU roaming.

Each tier comes with chances to win club experiences rather than guaranteed perks. Essential customers can enter draws for stadium tours, Plus adds signed shirts, and Ultimate opens up match tickets, hospitality, signed merchandise and calls with players from both the men’s and women’s teams.

To push supporters towards the top tier, Everton are offering a free Forever Blue+ membership for 2027-28 to anyone who signs up for Ultimate before 11:59pm on October 25. Existing 2027-28 season ticket holders get an upgrade to SeasonTicket+ instead.

“The thinking behind Everton Mobile was simple: this is a service all supporters have a need for so how can we give them more value from it as Evertonians?” said chief revenue officer Aaron Duckmanton.

Fans already pay for a phone contract every month, so the club offers a competitive price and uses access to players, the stadium and signed kit as the difference. Customers keep their handsets and numbers through free PAC porting, which removes the usual hassle of switching.

For Everton, it creates a recurring revenue stream that sits alongside memberships, ticketing and hospitality, and gives the club a direct monthly relationship with supporters. It also arrives as the club operates two venues, with the men at the 52,769-capacity Hill Dickinson Stadium and Everton Women at Goodison Park, both of which feature in the rewards.

Club-branded mobile services have been tried before in English football with mixed results. Everton’s version relies on competitive pricing and low-commitment contracts to avoid the fate of those that came before.
