Dominik Mysterio’s recent absence from WWE television has sparked questions about his place in The Judgment Day, especially after he was left off the list of WWE stars invited to an upcoming NFL game. However, he’s scheduled to compete in Mexico this weekend.
Mysterio last appeared on the October 5 episode of RAW, where he and JD McDonagh defeated Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee in a tag team match. He has been off WWE programming since losing the AAA Mega Championship to El Grande Americano at TripleMania 34 on September 13.
The Houston Texans are hosting the New York Giants on October 25, and several members of The Judgment Day are expected to attend: McDonagh, Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. Dominik’s absence from the group has led to speculation that a split could be coming. He also missed WWE’s recent live event in Hawaii.
But Dominik is booked for a major match of his own this Saturday in Mexico City. He’ll challenge El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Championship at Heroes Inmortales, in a rematch of their TripleMania bout.
During a recent interview with the Bleacher Report, Dominik also reflected on his past interactions with Roman Reigns. He recalled Reigns throwing him outside the ring when Dominik tried to help his father, Rey, and said he wasn’t strong enough at the time to fight back. Dominik added that getting even with Reigns is something he wants to do while he’s at the peak of his career.
Rey and Reigns’ rivalry culminated at Hell in a Cell in 2021. Reigns retained the Universal Championship by forcing Rey to submit with a modified guillotine choke.
Dom wasn't with them in Hawaii, and now he wasn't invited to this event and today the news about Rey…god I hope this is a sign https://t.co/EpfHxGaPbo
