Joe was watching a fan video on TikTok last night and the creator was none too pleased with Bucs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson.
When he played a clip of Robinson from yesterday’s press conference referring to a “tough” meeting he had Monday with his offense, the creator added, “And I hope they cussed yo’ @ss out!”

So it is a good thing that Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield is back. Joe thinks we all saw last week why every team in the NFL passed on Jalon Daniels multiple times in the draft, including the Bucs.
Daniels has a lot of heart and he may be a decent quarterback someday but he wasn’t (yet) ready for the big time.
That doesn’t mean Mayfield was playing like Steve Young before he dislocated a thumb. Here are some numbers from Rich Hribar of _Sharp Football Analysis_ [about Mayfield’s play](https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/fantasy/buccaneers-panthers-week-7-fantasy-football-preview-nfl-worksheet-rich-hribar-2026/) before he was hurt.
> He completed 63.5% of his passes (20th) for 6.4 yards per attempt (23rd) and a 2.1% touchdown rate (30th).
>
> He was also sacked on 11.9% of his dropbacks, 32nd in the league.
(Joe is going to have to dig up a woman who is a stathead that, according to her calculations, Mayfield was the culprit in Mayfield’s sacks, not the offensive line.)
So it is great that Mayfield is back. Now the Bucs have to cross their fingers Mayfield’s thumb is OK.
But for the Bucs to get back into the playoff race, Mayfield simply has to play better than he was before his injury.
He completed 63.5% of his passes (20th) for 6.4 yards per attempt (23rd) and a 2.1% touchdown rate (30th).
He was also sacked on 11.9% of his dropbacks, 32nd in the league.
