Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is expected to provide an update on Bukayo Saka's injury after his star winger was forced off inside the opening 10 minutes against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

Saka was expected to undergo tests and scans back in London on Thursday when the team arrived back in the capital from Germany following their gutsy 2-2 Champions League draw at the Allianz Arena.

Arteta is also poised to confirm whether Piero Hincapie will be available to face Everton, who have lost just one of their opening seven Premier League matches so far this season.

The unfortunate injury to Saka could see Max Dowman presented with an opportunity to shine having netted in this fixture last season when he became the youngest scorer in Premier League history (aged 16 years and 73 days).

football.london is on hand to provide live updates from the Sobha Realty Training Centre.

Harry Kane verdict

Harry Kane was in complete agreement with Bayern Munich teammate Tom Bischof, following the 2-2 with Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The England captain and former Spurs star felt a draw was a fair result at the Allianz Arena, as Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice cancelled out goals from Alphonso Davies and Kane himself.

Speaking to DAZN at full time, he said: "I thought it was a good performance. I think for large spells of the game, especially the start of the second half, we had a real intensity. We looked dangerous, we got the goal and we had a moment to kill the game off. We had the momentum, they looked tired, but then we got caught in a low block for the final 15 minutes and they punished us with the goal.

"The draw was probably a fair result overall. I think we could have been a bit more clinical in the final third. But there are a lot of games, we’ve got a lot of players with injuries who are missing tonight. In the end, we’ll take the point and move on. It was a battle. Every duel was important. They look for the second balls and build from there into the game. I thought we dealt with that for most of the game pretty well.

“As the game got a little stretched towards the end, they grew into it and they’re a good physical team. Like I said, with the games we’re playing, it’s about every little detail. We probably didn’t get enough right to deserve the win."

Christos Tzolis is getting closer to a return but he's still not back in training just yet.

He's been at the club's training ground stepping up hsi recovery over the past few weeks.

Everton is expected to come too soon for him but he isn't far away.

Seven possible Arsenal changes for Everton

Mikel Arteta could make as many as seven changes to the Arsenal starting lineup this weekend. The Gunners boss will be expected to heavily rotate his side when they host Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, having only just faced Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

Hincapie boost

Mikel Arteta hinted Piero Hincapie would be back for Everton and it looks like he will be available.

The Ecuadorian has been pictured training this morning in a major boost for the Gunners.

Hincapie trained individually before the squad flew to Munich and now he's rejoined the group.

There is some doubt over whether Riccardo Calafiori will be ready to start his third match in a row - now Mikel Arteta has another option.
