76ers’ Jaylen Brown calls ‘cap’ on Jayson Tatum’s trade reaction

Things are starting to get spicy between Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum after what Brown commented under a social media post.

The Philadelphia 76ers picked up their second win of the season against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but that probably wasn't the biggest news of the night. That happened to be Jaylen Brown commenting under a social media post of Jayson Tatum describing his thoughts about his former teammate getting traded to the 76ers.

In the video, Tatum says that someone tells him that Brown was traded, and he didn't see it coming.

“I was just as much caught off guard as the rest of the world,” Tatum said.

Tatum said some other things, but in the comments, Brown sent the “cap” emoji, insinuating that the Boston Celtics' star was lying about something.

“I very much have been transparent about how thankful, I personally am, for our relationship, and what we were able to accomplish over nine years,” Tatum continued in the video. “Talk about 2017 to 2025-26. Jayson and Jaylen. You won't ever be able to talk about one of us without the other. Just our ability to grow up as kids. And go through our ups and downs. And people talking about one of us had to go. And we couldn't win together. There was a lot of s*** that we had to deal with.”

There's no telling if Brown was calling Tatum a liar about that statement as well, but it's obviously something he said that didn't sit right with him.

There have been signs since the trade that the two maybe weren't the closest on the court, but it always felt like they were inseparable when they were on the Celtics. Something could've happened behind the scenes that nobody knows about, but it wouldn't be right to make assumptions.

Now, everyone should be even more excited when they face off against each other, which will be November 10.
