INDIANAPOLIS — Kelly Krauskopf is stepping down as president of the Indiana Fever after nearly three decades with Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

Krauskopf helped build the Fever from the ground up. She joined PS&E in 1999, ahead of the franchise’s inaugural season, and guided the team to 13 playoff appearances, three Finals berths, and the 2012 WNBA championship.

“She built it, delivered a championship and came back when we needed her,” said PS&E owner Herb Simon.

Krauskopf made history off the court too. She became the first woman to hold an executive basketball management role in the NBA when she joined the Pacers as assistant general manager in 2018.

She returned to the Fever in 2024, helping lead the franchise back to the playoffs in both 2025 and 2026. She also oversaw development of the Fever’s new $78 million, 108,000-square-foot performance center, set to open in March 2027.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunities, relationships, and shared accomplishments that have shaped my time with this organization.,” Krauskopf said. “The Fever is poised for an exciting future, and I am proud to have helped lay the foundation for its continued growth and success.”

No successor has been announced.
