Endrick was mooted as a potential attacking option for Liverpool in the summer, when Andoni Iraola’s side were looking to bring in reinforcements in attack.
Yankuba Minteh and Ismaïla Sarr were also among the names on their shortlist. Liverpool had enquired about the 20-year-old’s availability, but Real Madrid dismissed the interest as they had no intention of letting the Brazilian leave.
Endrick has racked up four appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid, with his playing time limited by the wealth of attacking options at the Bernabeu.
Roc Nation Sports International president Michael Yormark has claimed that his client is eager to succeed at the Spanish giants, although regular minutes remain crucial to his development.
Yormark said via Sports Boom: “I think it’s a fluid process. I think we have to see how things go from now until the end of the year, before the next transfer window.
“I visited him a few weeks ago in Madrid; we had a great chat, he’s eager to play, so we’ll see what happens. He loves Madrid, he loves the team, and his teammates, but at the end of the day when you think about the lifespan of a career, it’s short, and he wants to maximise it.
“I think his first choice would be to stay at Real Madrid, but he’s got to play.” Several clubs are tracking Endrick ahead of January transfer window.
Liverpool strengthened their attack by signing Bradley Barcola but missed out on Minteh and Sarr. A loan move for Endrick could offer the Reds an exciting, cost-effective opportunity to add depth to their forward line.
Barcola is beginning to showcase his quality at Anfield, while Rio Ngumoha delivered an inspirational performance in Liverpool’s Champions League victory over Villarreal this week.
Cody Gakpo has returned from the injury he sustained during the September/October international break, but his absence highlighted the lack of depth in Andoni Iraola’s forward line, with Alexander Isak also picking up a knock in September.
