Training: All set for Villa!
League leaders Manchester City rounded off preparations at the CFA on Friday ahead of Saturday lunchtime’s trip to Aston Villa.
The focus switches back to the Premier League for Maresca’s side with City making the trip up the M6 to tackle Unai Emery’s Villa.
It’s a 12.30 (UK) kick-off in the Midlands with the Blues seeking to further extend what has been a perfect start to the Premier League season.
City have won all seven of our league games to date to sit top of the table, three points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
It promises to a tough encounter with Emery’s side again impressing on numerous fronts this term.
But, on the back of Tuesday’s excellent 5-1 UEFA Champions League win at home to AEK Athens, City will travel to Villa Park full of confidence.
And, as our gallery illustrated, the players were in great form as they went about their work on a wet and windy Friday at the CFA.
