So far, FC Barcelona have been perfect- nine matches, nine wins, thus far in La Liga. And thus, they’ll enter the first El Clasico of 2026-27 brimming with confidence. Their injury list is not very long either, so that’s another reason for major positivity right now. They did suffer a fresh injury in midweek though, in the form of Dani Olmo. During Tuesday night’s loss to Paris Saint-Germain, the midfielder suffered a torn muscle fiber in his adductor area. Dani Olmo is set for about a month on the sidelines.

Barca Team News for El Clasico

Elsewhere Jules Kounde is apparently not going to be able to recover fully enough, from his ankle sprain, to make the matchday squad for this one. He has been training away from the squad this week while Xavi Espart, who also suffered an ankle injury, is apparently just fine. However, the ankle injury he suffered against PSG is just a knock, and he should be fine for the weekend.

And then of course, you have the three standing injury concerns, in Eric García (thigh), Andreas Christensen (thigh), and Roony Bardghji (knee). So there you have it! On paper this looks like a win for the Catalan club, as all the prediction models and odds-makers are with them.
