The Oklahoma City Thunder and Micah Peavy have agreed to a two-way deal, per Shams Charania of ESPN.
The former second-round pick finds his next stop in the Western Conference powerhouse as he begins his 2026-27 NBA season.
Micah Peavy joins OKC Thunder
The 40th pick of last year's NBA Draft, Micah Peavy played his 2025-26 rookie campaign as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.
He averaged 4.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 0.7 steals per game while shooting 38.5% from the field in 61 games (four starts) for the Pels.
Peavy was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies alongside Jordan Hawkins in exchange for Taj Gibson and AJ Johnson last September. However, he was subjected to the Grizzlies' roster crunch, as he got waived ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Now, he will join the OKC Thunder and is set to play more in the team's G League affiliate.
Brooks Barnhizer, Josh Dix, and Otega Oweh are filling Oklahoma City's two-way slots. With the entry of Peavy, the Thunder will be waiving one of the players.
