2026 NFL Trade Deadline Dates: Top 10 Players Likely On the Move

Budda Baker, S, Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are not a playoff team. Trading Baker now makes sense. Second-round pick perhaps?

Austin Jackson, OT, Miami Dolphins – Jackson is a solid tackle, and if the Dolphins can get a Day 1 or Day 2 pick in return, he should be gone.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, New York Giants – Let’s be honest – Thibodeaux has been on the trade list for almost two years. It is time for the Giants to send him away for whatever draft capital they can get.

Dillon Gabriel, QB, Cleveland Browns – The Browns should trade Gabriel for any draft capital they can get.

Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles – Moving up on the availability list with the Eagles needing to perhaps retool and regroup.

Tony Pollard, RB, Tennessee Titans – Pollard would be a great addition to a contending team, and with Nic Singleton in Tennessee, Pollard is not needed.

Daron Payne, DT, Washington Commanders – Payne will make a difference as an interior lineman, and his cap hit numbers are friendly for both the Titans and his new team.

Tui Tuipulotu, EDGE, Los Angeles Chargers – Small cap hit for the Chargers and a new team. Better cap numbers and younger than his teammate, Khalil Mack.

A.J. Epenesa, EDGE, Philadelphia Eagles – Neither the Eagles nor any team trading for Epenesa gets much of a salary cap hit at all.

Kristian Fulton, CB, Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs have a surplus of quality defensive backs. Fulton would be a great addition to a team needing help in the secondary(Hello, Detroit?) and the Chiefs are not likely to sign him in the offseason to a long-term contract. This trade makes sense.

The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching, and teams are in the fact-finding stage to answer multiple questions. Is this a year to be a buyer or seller? What is the market like for positions and needs a team wants to fill? It takes two or more teams, after all, to make a trade viable, and so much depends on the asking price and the salary cap constraints teams have to operate within. With so many teams currently in the hunt for playoff spots, the asking prices are high. As the deadline approaches, the asking prices will fall. Stay tuned, NFL fans. Business is about to pick up.
