Sky Sport Deutschland claim that the Gunners remain interested in signing “one of the hottest strikers” in Europe.
However, after speaking to Tresoldi’s representatives, they were told that the chances of a move happening early in the New Year are “rather unlikely”.
According to their information, there is a higher probability of an approach from the Premier League champions at the end of the season.
Why is there so much hype around Tresoldi?
The German Under-21 international has started the 2026/27 campaign in red-hot form, having found the back of the net 9 times in only 13 appearances.
Tresoldi was already being watched by Arsenal at the back end of last campaign when he scored 23 goals in all competitions.

What does this mean for Gyokeres’s future at Arsenal?
Many assumed that the pursuit of Tresoldi was in anticipation of Viktor Gyokeres leaving the Emirates. The Swedish international has started only 3 games out of a possible 12, and he has yet to get on the scoresheet.
The decision to delay a bid for Tresoldi until the summer would suggest that Gyokeres won’t be moving in January.
Of course, a lot could change over the next couple of months. The situation could deteriorate further, ending up with the 28-year-old demanding a transfer midway through the season.
Alternatively, Gyokeres could find his shooting boots and score a hatful of goals, putting any move for Tresoldi on the back burner for the foreseeable future. As things stand, though, the Gunners are not planning any changes to the striker department before June.
