This season Popular Bob will volunteer for a day at a Humane Society shelter — walking dogs, wrestling with puppies and petting cats — for each week he has winning record against the spread with his NFL picks.
Well, thanks to last week's forecasts those animals can expect another visit soon.
There are several showcase games scheduled for Week 7 of the NFL season, with Kansas City's visit to Seattle being one of the most intriguing because of the return to the Pacific Northwest of RB Kenny Walker.
With regard to the weather, wind could be troublesome in Sunday's game between New Orleans and Pittsburgh in Paris. Otherwise, most of the country should have calm conditions and only a slight chance for rain.
Here is a look at the 13 games to be played over the next two days. (Odds are provided by teamrankings.com).
I got off to a perfect 1-0 start (1.000) with Chicago's spread-beating victory over New England on Monday.
Sunday
------
Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) vs. New Orleans Saints (2-4), 7:30 a.m., Paris
Steelers -3 (44.5 O/U)
The Steelers have won three of their last four games, but were fortunate to win last week in overtime at Tampa Bay despite going against undrafted rookie QB Jalon Daniels. Pittsburgh QB Aaron Rodgers has indeed been thriving of late, with 11 TD passes in that month-long span, but he's also been battered in the pocket, getting sacked five times in two of the past three games.
Forecast: Saints 27, Steelers 17
Indianapolis Colts (2-4) at Minnesota Vikings (5-0), 11 a.m.
Vikings -6.5 (41.5 O/U)
The Colts have lost 12 of their past 15 games, including last week at home against winless Tennessee. That helped cost their GM his job. Now they have to go on the road to face an undefeated team coming off a bye.
Forecast: Vikings 28, Colts 10
Tampa Bay Bucs (1-5) at Carolina Panthers (3-2), 11 a.m.
Panthers -3 (44.5 O/U)
The Bucs, who blew a 13-point fourth-quarter lead in a home loss vs. Pittsburgh last week, are scheduled to get back QB Baker Mayfield after he missed the past two games with a dislocated right thumb. But he's no savior, for the Bucs went 0-4 with him at the controls. Carolina, meanwhile, has surged behind improving QB Bryce Young, who's averaging a league-high 309.8 passing yards a game. Last year he reached that total in only two of his 18 starts.
Forecast: Panthers 27, Bucs 17
NY Giants (3-2-1) at Houston Texans (2-4), 11 a.m.
Texans -10.5 (42.5 O/U)
Giants coach John Harbaugh has named newly acquired QB J.J. McCarthy to replace mistake-prone Jameis Winston. McCarthy came to the rescue last week vs. New Orleans and almost rallied NYG from a 24-point deficit. As for the Texans, they are coming off an upset victory over Jacksonville in London last week, 34-31. But what's not good is that it was the third time this year a Houston foe scored more than 30 points. And then there's this: Teams returning from a Sunday game in Europe this season and playing seven days later have gone 0-3 ATS/0-2-1 straight up. How about another big upset?
Forecast: Giants 31, Texans 24
Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) at Baltimore Ravens (4-2), 11 a.m.
Ravens -1.5 (48.5 O/U)
There's a good chance Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) plays this week after sitting out the past two, including last Sunday's 13-10 loss in Cleveland. The Bengals, meanwhile, are coming off a bye , but in their Week 5 victory in Miami they alarmingly gave up 217 rushing yards to a winless Miami team that was playing without star RB De'Von Achane (IR).
Forecast: Ravens 31, Bengals 21
Cleveland Browns (4-2) at Tennessee Titans (1-5), 11 a.m.
Browns -1.5 (37.5 O/U)
Cleveland has been struggling mightily on offense of late. After scoring TDs on three consecutive possessions three weeks ago against Pittsburgh, the Browns have totaled just two in the past 30 possessions, excluding a pair of one-play kneel-downs. Pass protection has been a major issue with QB Deshaun Watson getting sacked a league-high 24 times, including 13 times the past two weeks.
Forecast: Titans 16, Browns 13
Miami Dolphins (0-5) at NY Jets (2-4), 11 a.m.
Jets -4.5 (39.5 O/U)
The Jets haven't been this heavy a favorite since Week 8 in the 2024 season. I'll stick with the team that's 4-1-1 ATS in 2026.
Forecast: Jets 17, Dolphins 10
San Francisco 49ers (6-0) at Atlanta Falcons (2-4), 11 a.m.
49ers -2.5 (50 O/U)
The 49ers face a scheduling injustice this week by having to travel across three time zones coming off a Monday night home game. No other team this year faces such a scenario. This season teams are 1-4 SU/ATS in West Coast to East Coast games with normal rest.
Forecast: Falcons 24, 49ers 21

Denver Broncos (4-2) at Arizona Cardinals (2-4), 2:05 p.m.
Broncos -4.5 (43.5 O/U)
The Cardinals are coming off the biggest upset victory seen in the league this season when they topped the LA Rams 18-16 on Sunday as a 13.5-point dog. Last season there were only two games in which a double-digit underdog won, both times with Carolina prevailing. But in their next game those Panthers were losers each time as a favorite.
Forecast: Broncos 28, Cardinals 16
Green Bay Packers (4-2) at Detroit Lions (3-2), 2:25 p.m.
Lions -3 (53.5 O/U)
Green Bay's top RB, Josh Jacobs, is scheduled to play for the first time this season after being removed from Commissioner's Exempt List. He no doubt will give a boost to the league's worst rushing offense and will be going against the NFL's worst-ranked defense.
Forecast: Packers 34, Lions 27
LA Rams (2-4) at Las Vegas Raiders (3-3), 2:25 p.m.
Rams -3.5 (48.5 O/U)
It was a nightmare game for the Rams against visiting Arizona last Sunday. In addition to losing as a heavy favorite, as mentioned above, they lost leading receiver Davante Adams to a hamstring injury (IR). And then on Thursday standout Puka Nacua incurred a calf injury and is listed as questionable. But here's an interesting tidbit. Over the past three seasons, excluding a Week 18 game in 2023 in which Philadelphia rested most of its starters, teams that lost as double-digit favorites went 5-2 SU/ATS in their next game.
Forecast: Rams 31, Raiders 20
Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) at Seattle Seahawks (3-3), 6:20 p.m.
Seahawks -2.5 (42.5 O/U)
The Seahawks will be playing like gangbusters on defense when they go up against Chiefs RB Kenny Walker, the league's leading rusher, who left Seattle in free agency last year after being named MVP of the team's Super Bowl victory over New England.
Forecast: Seahawks 27, Chiefs 19

Monday
------
Dallas Cowboys (2-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-4), 6:15 p.m.
Cowboys -4.5 (44 O/U)
Sickness, injuries and a retirement have decimated the Eagles, who opened the season with 16-1 odds to win the Super Bowl. Now that number is 200-1 in large part because of the blood clots that have sidelined QB Jalen Hurts. Even if RB Saquon Barkley returns for the Eagles (questionable, hamstring), the highly chastised Cowboys defense should be able to throttle a Philly offense that has averaged 1.8 yards per rush the past two weeks and is led by inexperienced QB Tanner McKee.
Forecast: Cowboys 30, Eagles 10
