Among the noteworthy storylines from the Lakers’ 127-105 season-opening win over the Warriors, the headliner was undoubtedly the on-court feud between Luka Doncic and Yaxel Lendeborg. A video has now surfaced on social media that reveals new details about their heated on-court exchange.
LegendZ, a renowned lip reader on social media, released previously unseen footage of Luka Doncic and Yaxel Lendeborg’s heated exchange on the court, which even spilled over into bitter postgame comments from the Warriors’ rookie and a confident flex from the Slovenian superstar.
“That sh– is weak as f–k. Ain’t nobody going for that s–t,” Yaxel Lendeborg said minutes before the end of the second quarter, when Luka Doncic drew a foul.
“You can’t guard me, the f–k are you talking about? You can’t f–king guard me, man,” Doncic responded while Draymond Green loved the intense energy from his rookie.
“That s–t is weak as f–k,” Yaxel Lendeborg repeatedly said as both their teammates were forced to step in to separate them. Steve Kerr then subbed Lendeborg out after he picked up two personal fouls.
“Come back out, p—y. I’m waiting for you,” Luka Doncic seemingly said after hitting a midrange shot over the Warriors when Lendeborg was on the bench.
“You ain’t doing s–t on me, you haven’t scored on me, f–k out of here,” Lendeborg seemingly responded from the bench. Steve Kerr noticed the tension between the players and let Lendeborg back in, just moments before Doncic drew another foul on him.
“He’s grabbing my arm,” Lendeborg complained to the officials. On the next play, Luka Doncic missed a three-point shot, and Lendeborg let him hear it.
“You’re trash as f–k. You’re trash as f–k, n—a. You suck, n—a, you suck,” Lendeborg reportedly said, which earned him a technical foul from the officials. “I don’t give a f–k,” he responded after the technical.
On the final play of the half, Yaxel Lendeborg was face-guarding Luka Doncic, and the Slovenian superstar hit a half-court three at the buzzer.
“That’s not on me,” Lendeborg said, even as Doncic gained space off a screen. Luka Doncic responded with harsh words that officials seemingly missed.
“Hey, that’s a technical foul on you, that’s a technical foul,” Jimmy Butler said as the whole Warriors bench, including Stephen Curry, was upset with what Luka Doncic said after hitting the buzzer-beater and not getting a technical for it.
In the second half, Luka Doncic drew another foul on Lendeborg and had more words for the rookie.
“You’re 24 and a rookie, relax,” Doncic said.
What Luka Doncic Really Said To Yaxel Lendeborg👀:
Luka: “You’re 24 and a rookie, relax”
This came after tons of trash talk:
Yax: “You’re trash as f*ck.. you suck!”
Luka: “Shut up, pu**y”

After the game, Luka Doncic confidently said the sequence in which the Lakers star scored 10 of his 28 points in the second quarter and didn’t even need to play in the fourth quarter was the result of Lendeborg’s trash talk.
Moreover, the Slovenian star even said the Warriors’ rookie was ‘talking crazy.’
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Lendeborg also harshly criticized Luka Doncic. He called him out for whining and complaining to officials, saying he lost all respect for a player he once feared. The Warriors’ veterans also supported the rookie.
Luka Doncic finished with 28 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals, shooting 7-for-18 from the field (38.9%) and 5-for-12 from the three-point line (41.7%).
Yaxel Lendeborg had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal, shooting 5-for-11 from the field (45.5% FG) and 1-for-4 from beyond the arc (25.0% 3P).
The Lakers are set to face the Warriors again in their opening fixture of the NBA Cup. All eyes will certainly be on this matchup to see if the rookie fires back or we see more of the same from the Slovenian superstar.
