The German forward Karim Adeyemi was one of the new additions FC Barcelona made to their team during the last summer transfer window. The winger joined the Blaugrana club from Borussia Dortmund in exchange for €22 million in fixed transfer fee and another €7 million in variables.
This was a very reasonable price for a player of Adeyemi’s stature in this market context, and [the Catalans have already started benefitting from this move](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/karim-adeyemi-makes-barcelona-admission-after-strong-start-i-think-i-can-always-give-more/), as the German has already scored four goals and provided two assists in 12 appearances so far this season.
As [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20261023/1004242398/adeyemi-flick-razon.html) has reported, the forward appeared in an interview with the club media and talked about his transfer to and adaptation at Barcelona. The German revealed how important a role Hansi Flick played in his signing:
**“Hansi Flick is the reason I’m here, and I’m very grateful to him. I speak to him honestly, and that’s very important. We have a special connection, just as he does with the whole team.”**
Adeyemi also revealed some of Flick’s advice to him:
**“The first piece of advice he gave me was to enjoy every training session, the team atmosphere, Barcelona and the Catalan people. That was the first thing he taught me.”**
Playing for Barcelona still seemed to be a dream for the German forward:
**“I feel very comfortable here. I enjoy the sunshine and the people… everyone is very friendly. I couldn’t pick out just one best thing. Everything about being here is wonderful. Some of my friends still tell me they can’t believe which club I’m playing for. Sometimes I feel like I’m still living in a dream.”**
The winger also named some former Blaugrana players with whom he would like to play in an ideal world:
**“Messi was always the best player in the world, and seeing him at that club was incredible. But if I had to choose three players to share the pitch with, excluding the Argentine, I’d pick an attacking line of Iniesta, Neymar and Ronaldinho.”**
Jokingly, Adeyemi boasted that he is the fastest player in the team:
**“Anthony Gordon would be the second-fastest… I’d definitely beat him.”**
The German was also highly impressed by the Spotify Camp Nou:
**“The Spotify Camp Nou is incredible. It isn’t even finished yet, and it’s already fantastic. When we come out and the anthem starts playing, it’s spectacular.”**
Hopefully, Karim Adeyemi will continue playing at this level going forward as well, and prove to be a valuable part of the team as the season becomes more hectic with every passing week.
