Confirmed Line-Ups: Aston Villa vs Manchester City (Premier League)

Enzo Maresca and Manchester City take on Aston Villa at Villa Park in the early lunchtime slot on Saturday afternoon, hoping to maintain their 100 per cent winning start to the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Manchester City come into their latest Premier League encounter having won all of their opening seven matches in the top-flight, most recently dismissing of Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium via a 3-2 scoreline.

Maresca and his players come into this clash off the back of midweek success, as a Phil Foden hat-trick inspired City to a statement 5-1 win against AEK Athens in the UEFA Champions League - bouncing back from the 2-4 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

The visit to Villa Park on Saturday afternoon precedes a double-header against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup fourth round and Premier League - both of which are due to take place at the Etihad Stadium.

Aston Villa have had an indifferent start to the 2026/27 Premier League season, winning twice, drawing twice, and losing three matches from their opening seven games in the competition.

Villa have, however, won their last Premier League clash in what was a vital 0-1 victory away to Newcastle United at St James' Park courtesy of a 36th minute strike from star summer signing Johan Manzambi.

Unai Emery's side geared up for the meeting with Manchester City through a statement 3-1 win over Viking at Villa Park in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, courtesy of an own goal, an Emiliano Buendia penalty, and a Ross Barkley effort.

With three wins out of three, Villa now sit 2nd in the Champions League table behind the reigning European champions PSG, while City find themselves in 10th - one place behind Italian outfit Como.

Ahead of kick-off at Villa Park, here is how both Unai Emery and Enzo Maresca have lined up their respective Aston Villa and Manchester City sides in Premier League action!
