Everton are gearing up for their next Premier League game against Arsenal, and Tyler Dibling looks sharp in new training footage.

The Toffees were beaten 2-0 last weekend by Chelsea, with Pedro Neto scoring twice at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Fans were left frustrated with the performance and some of the decisions David Moyes made.

Everton now have to try and bounce back against the reigning Premier League champions at the Emirates Stadium, where they don’t have a particularly great record.

Merlin Rohl started as the right winger last time out against Chelsea, but the expectation is that he won’t be playing there against Arsenal.

One man who will hope for minutes is Tyler Dibling, who drew several compliments in training this week.

I agree.

If we are not going to use them, put them in the under 21’s to give them some game time.

Tyler Dibling draws compliments from Grealish and Moyes ahead of Arsenal clash

Dibling put in a really promising performance against Wolves during the international break, and was then given his first minutes in the Premier League against Ipswich Town in the form of a cameo.

Then the international break came, which came at completely the wrong time for Dibling. In the two games since the return of domestic football, Dibling has played just four minutes for Everton.

He is currently behind both Brennan Johnson and Tyrique George in the pecking order, and the sight of Rohl lining up from the start against Chelsea would surely have come as a disappointment.

But Dibling is doing what he can to stand out – and the latest footage released by Everton shows him looking pretty sharp.

The winger can be seen confidently dribbling the ball, exchanging passes with teammates and finishing off moves in small nets.

At one point, he draws praise from Grealish after setting up his fellow winger to score. Grealish said: “Tyler, brilliant bro.”

In a different drill, Dibling then shows off his defensive chops, robbing Vitalii Mykolenko of the ball before finishing into a slightly bigger goal. In the very next clip, he gets on the ball again and drills a finish into the net on the opposite side.

For both actions, Moyes can be heard telling Dibling ‘Well done, well done Tyler.

Could Dibling start vs Arsenal?

Dibling would no doubt like to start against the champions, and many fans would also love to see him get that chance.

But while he does great in this latest footage, a start against Arsenal for Dibling feels a little unlikely given Moyes has put faith in most other players but him in recent weeks.

Sadly for the player, he was unable to build on that momentum he was building. The international break didn’t help, although he did score for the U21s while he was away. But Moyes didn’t give him the opportunity to get any rhythm.

As popular a move it would be within the fanbase, it would be a major surprise if Dibling’s name was on that starting XI teamsheet this Saturday.
