Heading into the NFL weekend, all eyes are on wide receivers Puka Nacua, DeVonta Smith and Christian Kirk, as all three are uncertain to play in Week 7.

Before we get to injury updates on those players, it’s worth noting that wideouts such as Rashee Rice, Emeka Egbuka, Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel have been ruled out.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Matthew Golden and Christian Watson have been removed from the injury report and are good to go.

Here are the latest updates on Nacua, Smith, Kirk and other notable wide receivers who are uncertain to play.

Puka Nacua injury update

Nacua popped up on the injury report on Thursday, limited by a calf issue he suffered in practice.

He then followed that up with no practice on Friday before being listed as questionable to play.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport labeled the injury as “more minor than anything else,” but “not precautionary,” so that leaves some concern for his status.

The 2-4 Rams are walking a fine line because they need Nacua even more with Davante Adams sidelined. But they also can’t afford to lose him for an extended period of time, which they run the risk of by sending him out there at less than 100%.

Given the fact he didn’t return to practice on Friday, we’d say Nacua has a slightly worse than 50/50 chance to play.

DeVonta Smith injury update

Smith made his return last week, but he’s off to a bad start in Week 7 because his lingering hamstring injury has kept him out of practice on Thursday and Friday.

The lack of practice over the first two days amounts to a downgrade in participation from last week, when he posted one limited and one full session.

We’ll know more on Saturday, when the Eagles drop their final injury report. However, for now, Smith appears to be trending toward a questionable tag, at best.

Christian Kirk injury update

Kirk appears set to make his 2026 and San Francisco 49ers debut this week after sitting out the first six contests due to a calf injury that landed him on injured reserve.

Kirk turned in three full practices this week and is labeled as questionable to play.

However, the expectation is he will be activated on Saturday in advance of playing on Sunday.

Kirk could step into a big role immediately, as both Mike Evans (Achilles) and Deebo Samuel (hamstring) have been ruled out.

Dontayvion Wicks injury update

Like Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, who suffered an ankle injury in last week’s game, has not been able to practice over the first two days of the week.

That is a bad sign for his chances of suiting up, but he’s got another crack at getting in at least some practice participation on Saturday.

As of this moment, Wicks is probably headed toward a questionable tag, at best.

Tank Dell injury update

Tank Dell appears set to make his long-awaited return to the field from the catastrophic knee injury he suffered in 2024.

Dell practiced in full all three days this week before being given the questionable tag ahead of Sunday.

Despite the questionable tag, Dell has been confirmed as good to go for Week 7.
