**Aston Villa 1 (Doughty 21) Arsenal 3 (Murisa 7, Donczew 11, Bernard 16)**

Axel Donczew was amongst the scorers as Arsenal U18s continued their hugely impressive recent form with a 3-1 victory away to Aston Villa today.

Josh Smith’s side have now won five league games in a row – six in all competitions – with recent signings Axel Donczew and Mylo Bernard also scoring against Villa.

Schoolboy Charlie Phillips started in goal, with creative prospect Luis Munoz also involved from the outset.

There was a first callup at this level for U16s winger Kyron Raymond-Callender, who was named amongst the substitutes.

**Subs: Joseph (for Emerson Nwaneri, 63), Odaji-Ukueku (for Murisa, 78), Bonaventure Yetna (for Bernard, 89). Not used: Lupinski, Stachow, Oba, Raymond-Callender.**

Arsenal, who were in buoyant mood following last weekend’s victory against Tottenham Hotspur, took the lead after just seven minutes as captain Murisa scored.

Just four minutes later Donczew made it 2-0, with the youngster providing another indication of his ability.

Bernard then proceeded to score Arsenal’s third goal of the game, with the young Gunners going 3-0 up after just 16 minutes.

Villa then managed to reduce the deficit as Jake Doughty scored.

Another recent acquisition, forward Vincent Joseph, entered the fray in the 63rd minute as he replaced Emerson Nwaneri.

Theo Odaji-Ukueku also received another runout, with schoolboy Mikael Bonaventure Yetna featuring late on.

It has been an excellent sequence of results for Arsenal U18s of late and they are in fourth place in the table, five points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, who have played a game more.

Arsenal face Chelsea away next month in an intriguing clash but before that they will host Brentford next weekend in the first ever competitive meeting between the clubs at this level.
