Jayden Danns issued another sign he is closer to match sharpness by scoring his first goal of the season to cap another comeback from Liverpool under-21s.

Danns notched the equaliser as the Reds came from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 Premier League 2 draw against Chelsea at Kingsmeadow on Saturday afternoon.

Will Wright had dragged Rob Page's side back into the game when netting his 10th goal in 11 games this season on 26 minutes after early strikes from Harrison McMahon and Sol Gordon had put Chelsea in control.

And Danns, in his seventh outing for the U21s this campaign, struck three minutes into the second half to earn Liverpool a point with his first goal at any level since August 2025.

Earlier in the day, another goal for 15-year-old midfielder Luca Eden wasn't enough as the U18s were beaten 6-3 at Manchester United in the U18 Premier League North.

Liverpool fell three goals behind by the interval at Carrington through Noah Ajayi's strike and a Jaume Camacho-Sidos brace, but fought back strongly in the second half with Finn Inglethorpe netting after good work from Eden and AJ Yeguo before Erik Farkas forced a mistake from United goalkeeper Charlie Hardy.

However, United responded with Camacho-Sidos finishing with four goals in the game and Emmanuel Ziro also scoring, although Eden's brilliant individual strike - turning on a pass 30 yards out and then progressing to thump home from range into the top corner - was a highlight.

Liverpool U21s aren't in action again until the EFL Trophy visit to Huddersfield on Tuesday, November 10 (kick-off 7pm) while the U18s are at home to Sunderland next Saturday in the U18 Premier League North (kick-off 12.30pm).
