Everton have had some seriously underrated players over the years.

Fans recently voted on some of Everton’s most underrated players, and the likes of Mikel Arteta, Gareth Barry and Sylvain Distin all got mentions.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi previously named Bernard as the most underrated player he ever played with.

The Toffees have had their fair share of talents who don’t get enough credit, and now, speaking on the Beast Mode On Podcast, Hayden Hackney has claimed that Everton currently have the most underrated player in the Premier League in their squad.

Who should start at right-back for Everton against Arsenal, and why? Maitland-Niles has had the position held down, but struggled vs Hull and Chelsea…

At least that's what I'd love to be predicted 😂 we need to play at speed if we want to grab something from the game!💙💙💙

Everything to gain - Nothing to lose! 💙💙💙

Yeah, Moyes really annoyed me last week. Everyone knows Chelsea can’t defend so just go at them!

Hayden Hackney says Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is the Premier League’s most underrated player

Hackney was asked to name who he thinks is the most underrated player in the entirety of the Premier League.

The midfielder could’ve picked anyone from any team across the division, but, ultimately, he believes Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is the most underrated player in England’s top-flight right now.

“Who do you think is the most underrated player in the Premier League?” Hackney was asked.

“Dewsbury-Hall probably. I think he doesn’t get that much, for what he does,” Hackney said.

“I would say that, for what he does, for what he did last season, the numbers, the performances and he had the numbers to back it up as well.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s underappreciated value has helped Everton

As Hackney says, Dewsbury-Hall is a seriously underrated player, and the fact that he is undervalued in the wider footballing world has proven to be a good thing for Everton.

18 months ago, Dewsbury-Hall was at Chelsea, but a lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge led to a move to Everton.

Last season suggested that Chelsea made a mistake in letting Dewsbury-Hall go, and the fact that they underrated him as a player has played right into Everton’s hands.

Dewsbury-Hall certainly has the talent to play for one of the traditional big six clubs in the Premier League, but the fact that his ability isn’t necessarily recognised by everyone allowed Everton to pick up a brilliant signing last summer.

Maybe one day the rest of the footballing world will wake up to how good Dewsbury-Hall truly is.
