Arturo Ruiz says he still feels good about Albion’s potential and progress.
But a home win, ideally with a clean sheet, would do wonders to reinforce that message.
The Seagulls return to the Amex, scene of a 5-1 win over Charlton, as they take on West Ham in the WSL today (5.15pm).
They have just the one league win to date but showed decent signs in coming from three down to lose 3-2 at leaders Manchester City last Sunday.
Head coach Ruiz, who was appointed just before the season started, said: “It is not the points we wanted but we all know when a big change comes we all need to go through that process.
“Clarity is very good. I think we are working very well.
“What we need, obviously, is three points on Saturday with our fans in our stadium.
“I cannot complain about my team, the staff and the players, because we are all having our most professional attitude and we are really trusting in what we believe.”
Albion were well-backed at Manchester City and would love to see a good turn-out against the Hammers.
They were three down quickly against the leaders and even conceded early against rock-bottom Charlton.
Ruiz would love a clean sheet this time.
He said: “We all know the attacking potential we have in every single game.
“We are generating a lot against pretty much all opponents.
“We know that if we get our clean sheet in any game, we are really close to winning because we always know it is very probable that we score several goals.”
we wls core several goals.
