Kansas City has opened the season with five consecutive victories, establishing itself as an early contender in the AFC. The team has combined a productive running game with a defense that has consistently limited opposing offenses.
Mahomes has thrown for 1,309 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions through five games. His efficient approach has helped the Chiefs navigate changes along the offensive line while recovering from last season’s knee injury.
Running back Kenneth Walker III has also made an immediate impact after joining the team in free agency. He leads the NFL with 665 rushing yards, giving Kansas City another reliable offensive weapon.

Suamataia’s development at left guard remains important to the team’s success. His physical run blocking has helped establish the ground attack, while his pass protection continues to progress.
The undefeated Chiefs now prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football in Week 7. Mahomes’ public support for Suamataia offers another glimpse into team chemistry as Kansas City looks to extend its winning streak.
