After cutting kicker Riley Patterson earlier in the week, the Dolphins will turn to Gonzalez. Gonzalez was added to Miami’s practice squad the day Patterson was released.
Lampkin, in Los Angeles, and Tillman, in New Orleans, are both being elevated for the third and final time on their current practice squad contracts. If the Rams and Saints want to see either player appear in another game, they will need to sign them to their respective 53-man rosters, like the Ravens did with Hergel. Interestingly, Hergel experienced his three elevations without appearing in a game, but perhaps he’ll get in now, as a member of the active roster.
