Browns backup fined in Week 6 for “striking/kicking/kneeling” versus the Ravens

You never know what you might find when you peruse the NFL’s accountability website, especially almost a week after every game, when the fines are announced for the previous week. Sometimes you find out about a fine going against a player playing against the Cleveland Browns, [like New York Jets safety **Minkah Fitzpatrick** for his hit on Browns WR **KC Concepcion**](/cleveland-browns-news/135243/jets-minkah-fitzpatrick-fined-for-hit-on-browns-kc-concepcion-but-he-wants-it-reduced).

Other times it is some innocuous play, like Cleveland OL **Luke Wypler** in Week 6 being fined $6,611 for Unnecessary Roughness, which was described as “Striking/kicking/kneeling.” The play in question happened with 8:33 left in the game when Wypler was in place for the Browns extra point following RB **Audric Estime’s** touchdown run.

No flag was called on the play where Wypler reportedly struck, kicked, and/or knelt on a Baltimore Ravens player.

A sixth-round selection out of Ohio State, Wypler signed a four-year contract worth $4 million in 2023. In the final year of his rookie deal, Wypler’s 2026 salary is just over $1.1 million this season, around $65,000 per game, which means last week’s fine was 10 percent of his weekly salary.
