Arizona Cardinals induct Larry Fitzgerald into their Ring of Honor today

For the Arizona Cardinals, they have a select group of special players in their history.

While Larry Fitzgerald is the 20th to be inducted into the teams Ring of Honor, what makes the induction really special is not just that he joins those 19 other members in the teams Ring of Honor, it is that he is only the sixth player in team history to have his number retired.

Fitz joins tight end J.V. Cain (88), two-way player Marshall Goldberg (99), tackle Stan Mauldin (77), safety Larry Wilson (8), and of course Pat Tillman (40).

No one will ever wear 11 while playing for the Arizona Cardinals again.

Fitzgerald is the 16th player who spent all or a significant part of his career with the Cardinals and is the first one who is truly Arizona in his career.

This is going to be a special time that allows the fans to celebrate one of not just the greats in Cardinals history, but also in NFL history.

Congrats to Larry Fitzgerald.
