Florian Wirtz looks on during Liverpool's match against Newcastle United
Florian Wirtz thought he opened his Premier League account for the season, but his wait goes on.
Liverpool went ahead against Brighton on Sunday after 17 minutes of play as Wirtz hit a first-time effort inside the area.

The Germany international has had a difficult second season with the Reds and already been linked with a move away from Anfield.
A goal will do him a world of good amid his £116.5million transfer fee.
However, he remains without a goal in the English top flight for the 2026/27 campaign.
Minutes after the opener, the Premier League revealed that the goal has been accredited to someone else.
"The goal accreditation panel has adjudged Liverpool's 17th minute goal as a Gross own goal."
Liverpool netted a second moments later as Alexander Isak found the target from a Bradley Barcola cross.
Wirtz appeared to pick up an injury shortly before the hour mark, but he was able to return to play.
However, he was substituted swiftly after and went straight down the tunnel.

Brighton had conceded just five goals and kept four clean sheets in the league before Sunday.
However, their defence was breached on two occasions in a matter of minutes and they no longer have the joint-best defence with Arsenal.
