Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing their first-ever NFL game in Paris, but there’s some confusion within the franchise about where the matchup is actually taking place.
Pittsburgh’s entering the France trip with a 4-2 record and a chance to pick up another win. However, Rodgers and some of his teammates are getting ripped online for their pregame outfit choices.
The Steelers’ social media team dropped a “Peaky Blinders” caption while showing off the Pittsburgh QB1 and several other teammates in their dapper attire. The problem is that Mike McCarthy’s team isn’t playing in England, where the hit Netflix show takes place.
Now, Rodgers and Co. deserve credit for pulling off the impressive look with their expensive suits and flat caps. The fashion statement isn’t stopping internet trolls from destroying the team in the comments section.

The Steelers are likely more worried about what’s happening on the gridiron in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh’s viral post has certainly drawn added attention to the team from an international audience.
Paris is hosting its first NFL game as the league continues its push for global saturation with professional football. The English and “Peaky Blinders” fans don’t seem to be taking too kindly to the Steelers’ blunder, though.
The Netflix show is set in Birmingham, England following World War 1. The program’s supporters are certainly making that clear online. Netflix’s popular show lasted six seasons following along the Peaky Blinders criminal gang and their battles in the United Kingdom’s streets.
Some of the remarks are quite funny, especially those clever enough to put the situation into American terms.
This is like if a European soccer team went to Pittsburgh and posted about cheesesteaks.
