PARIS — This international travel is starting to sit well with the Steelers.

For the second year in a row, they won in a foreign country, beating the New Orleans Saints, 16-10, on Sunday in the first NFL game ever played in France.

It was their third victory in row, keeping them at the top of the AFC North at 5-2. And they did it like they’ve been doing it back home — with a healthy dose of Jaylen Warren and big plays from the defense when they needed them most.

In the fourth quarter, the Saints had the ball at their 40-yard line when the Steelers produced three plays in a row. Y.A. Black and Cam Heyward battled down passes at the line then Patrick Queen sacked Tyler Shough on third down.

After that defensive stand, the Steelers hogged the ball and ran out the clock. Aaron Rodgers essentially iced the game by scrambling for a first down.

Warren rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries and had three catches for 36 yards. He got some help from Rico Dowdle, who ran for 41 yards on nine carries and caught six passes for 45 yards.

The Steelers led at the half, 13-10, thanks to touchdown catch from Darnell Washington and two of Chris Boswell’s three field goals on the afternoon.

In the second quarter, Davaugh Vele scored the Saints’ only touchdown, a 1-yard catch from Shough that came after Kendre Miller fumbled at the goal line. The Steelers recovered it but Miller was determined to be down by contact.

On the opening series of the third quarter, the Steelers got another takeaway — and this one stood. Linebacker Payton Wilson made a diving interception on a second-down pass after the Saints had moved to the Steelers’ 10-yard line.

The Steelers turned that into Boswell’s third field goal and a 16-10 lead. It held up as the final score.
