The Manchester City manager was speaking prior to the club's clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon, in an outing that marked the end of the visitors' stellar start to the brand new season.
Having won all of their opening seven English top-flight matches, including away wins against Manchester United and Liverpool, it would be Unai Emery's side that registered City's first defeat of the campaign courtesy of a brace from Nicolas Jackson.
Given the backdrop of the Premier League's guilty verdict issued upon Manchester City in late September, it was another hostile atmosphere for Maresca and his players to face off against, and the side did well to respond to Jackson's first blow inside six minutes.
Erling Haaland would land the equaliser early into the second-half, before Nicolas Jackson's effort from an Ibrahim Mbaye lay-off would squirm under the body of Gianluigi Donnarumma in the City goal.
And given the hostility at Villa Park, it came as no surprise to see Enzo Maresca questioned on the matter once more when addressing broadcasters pitchside ahead of the contest.
Maresca: I'm not worried about the guilty verdict
Speaking to TNT Sports prior to Manchester City's eventual defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, manager Enzo Maresca was asked for his latest feelings around the club - as they continue to face the Premier League's guilty verdict.
"I'm not worried at all because I'm not thinking about that," the Italian coach insisted.
Maresca continued, "It's something that I don't control.
"The only thing I can control and try to do my best is the pitch side, the football side. So different things, I'm not worried."
How will Man City recover from the Villa setback?
Enzo Maresca and Manchester City are now scheduled to take a brief pause from their relentless Premier League duties, as they return to the defence of their Carabao Cup clash and a second consecutive home tie in the competition.
Having dismissed of Norwich City in the third round of this season's tournament, it is a testing match-up against Fabian Hurzeler's in-form Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday night, as the south coast club come into the clash off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Premier League duties then resume with a second consecutive Etihad Stadium clash on Saturday afternoon, and once again the visit of the Seagulls, before an away European trip to RB Leipzig on matchday four of the UEFA Champions League.
The latest block of domestic fixtures will then conclude before the November international break with a trip to Nottingham Forest for Manchester City, hoping to maintain their place as the Premier League leaders by that point in the season.
