DETROIT (WSAW) - Green Bay takes a trip to Ford Field on the hunt for their fourth straight win this season, and their third against the Lions.
Jordan Love leads an offensive explosion on the opening drive, completing two 20-plus-yard passes, one to Matthew Golden and another to Savion Williams. However, Green Bay will have to settle for a field goal, calling on Trey Smack from 26 yards out.
After getting iced by a Packers penalty, he misses his first make; Smack misses his second try just right of the uprights, 0-0.
The Lions capitalize and take the 10-0 lead with a touchdown followed by a field goal.
Green Bay bites back with a 14-yard Love-to-Tucker Kraft connection to finally put the Packers on the board in the final minute of the first quarter, 10-7.
Detroit will hold on after the Packers’ defense forces a fumble in the final 30 seconds of the quarter, leading 10-7 at halftime.
