A shooting outside a college American football celebration left 12 people injured, including six children, in Florida at the weekend.

The shooting took place on Saturday night near Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee on homecoming weekend for Florida A&M University.

No arrests have been made following the terrifying incident but investigators are working to find those responsible, the Tallahassee Police Department said on Sunday.

Cops are asking for the public’s help and have now set up a tip line asking people to submit tips and a link where photos and video can be uploaded to law enforcement.

“We know there are people who saw something, heard something or may have video that could help us piece together exactly what happened,” Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said. “We need our community’s help. No detail is too small, and no piece of information should go unreported.”

The force said their investigations indicate a fight broke out as crowds of people left the football celebration before the shooting started.

Eleven of the 12 people injured suffered gunshot wounds, with six people still in hospital following the shooting - one person is in critical condition.

Clips shared online show people fleeing the scene in terror as the celebration took a horrifying turn. The university said on social media that the shooting happened near its campus and that it remained safe.
