Fabian Hurzeler said Albion will keep believing they can turn games around from adversity as they continue their five-part away sequence.
The Seagulls drew another blank when they lost 2-0 at Liverpool to follow a 0-0 draw at Jablonec in the Conference League less than 72 hours earlier.
They were 2-0 down inside 22 minutes at Anfield but showed signs of getting back into the game in the remainder of the first half.
As a point of reference or inspiration, they had quite recent memories of a 3-2 win at Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Asked whether that had come to mind as his side aimed to rebuild from their two-goal deficit, head coach Hurzeler said: “It's a different game today in a different competition.
“But, in general, we are always a team who will come back and who never gives up and also today, I had the feeling that we kept going, that we kept trying.
“Again, in the final third, the last pass, the last touch, there were so many technical things where we can do better, and we would analyse it, and then we come back stronger.
“We always have to believe that we can turn around games like this.”
Albion are likely to make changes as they visit Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Jason Steele, who missed the Jablonec trip due to illness, was back on the bench at Anfield and looks a likely starter at the Etihad.
Jack Hinshelwood went on at the break and could also be named in the XI on Wednesday, as could Malick Yalcouye and Jaouen Hadjam.
But Ferdi Kadioglu and Chema Andres went off injured at Liverpool and already appear to be doubts for the cup tie.
