Jets brutal end of first-half stat should lead to Aaron Glenn's firing image
The New York Jets lost to the winless Miami Dolphins in Week 7, and following such a bad loss, the questions about Aaron Glenn's future as the head coach are once again coming up.
But unlike last year, when it was a disastrous first season, this is year two for Glenn. But he's making the same mistakes this year as he did a year ago. In fact, it's gotten so much worse for the Jets under Glenn.
SNY Jets shared a simple statistic that highlights just how bad things are going for the Jets under Glenn in the first half. This one brutal stat should be what gets the Jets to fire Glenn; that's how bad it is.
Jets should fire Aaron Glenn with brutal first-half stat in mind
"The Jets have been outscored 107-6 in the final 2:00 of the first half during Aaron Glenn's tenure as head coach," SNY Jets shared.
This statistic is hard to believe. Glenn has been the coach for 17 games in the 2025 regular season, and now seven games in the 2026 regular season.
Across those 24 games, the Jets somehow have managed a ridiculous minus-101-point differential. That's not just in games overall, which would be bad enough as it is.
That -101 point differential is all about only the team's two-minute drill to end the first half of games. Somehow, Glenn's offense has managed just six points in the final two minutes of first halves in his coaching tenure, which is a horrible stat on its own.

But, compounded with the fact that the Jets' defense is allowing teams to practically score at will in the same situation, these first-half struggles are made so much worse.
While the Jets won't fire Glenn over just this one statistic, this is the kind of stat that should act as the "straw that broke the camel's back" and lead Woody Johnson to fire Glenn.
The Jets are averaging less 0.25 points in the final two minutes of the first half during Glenn's tenure. Their opponents? Those teams are averaging 4.45 points in those final two minutes before halftime.
This statistic is a fireable offense for Glenn, and if there was any shred of doubt about his future, this one stat should end any chance of Glenn sticking around as the long-term head coach of the Jets.
