The Pittsburgh Steelers won their third consecutive game against the New Orleans Saints in Paris on Sunday. With the longest win streak in the AFC North, you would think the Steelers are leading the division. Well, Pittsburgh sits in second place with a 5-2 record, which is tied with the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh because of their win on Thursday Night Football over the Steelers in Week 4.
The Steelers’ run defense was stingy on Sunday, allowing only 18 rushing yards. Next week provides an opportunity for the Steelers to take over the division with a home matchup against the Browns. The run defense will need to be as stingy and force the Browns offense to be one-dimensional. The division is there for the taking.
Here is Monday’s Three Rivers Report.

Steelers discussion: Should Pittsburgh draft a QB in 2027?
This organization shouldn't draft a QB in the 2027 draft and instead reinforce the team around Drew Allar.
I haven't been impressed with a majority of the QB prospects that might come out in the 2027 draft and truthfully I think Allar is a better prospect than alot of them. Allar showed flashes in the preseason of his elite arm talent, his mobility, his toughness, and his overall command in the pocket and i'm very high on him personally.
This organization should go into the 2027 draft looking to get him another weapon at WR high in the draft, to get an inside linebacker to replace Queen, and to bolster the team around Allar so he has the best chance at succeeding as humanely possible for next season. I 100% am behind the plan to go into next year with Allar as the guy with him having 1 year sitting behind Rodgers and learning McCarthy's system under his belt.
