DETROIT, Wis. (WBAY) - A Green Bay man [ran the Packers-Lions game ball](https://gameballrun.com) all the way from Lambeau Field to Ford Field, a journey of 313 miles.
Cody Delorenzo was greeted by a massive crowd outside the Lions stadium before Sunday’s NFL game. He was also given messages by Lions quarterback Jared Goff and the Lions donated $3,130 -- $10 for every mile -- to Delorenzo’s cause.
Delorenzo’s 32-year-old wife is being treated for cancer, and he wanted to raise awareness of screenings and early detection.
He also hoped to raise $50,000 for Henry Ford Hospital’s Game On Cancer program. He ended up raising $85,472, or 71% more than his goal. The program helps families handle everyday expenses while they navigate cancer.
The Lions also gave Delorenzo two Super Bowl tickets.
