Arsenal faces Liverpool in their next league game after their consistent start to the season, and that would be an important game to measure how ready they are to defend the league title. Mikel Arteta’s side has done well so far, but Manchester City is threatening to stop them from defending the league title they won in the summer.
Arsenal has to keep winning, and that means they need to earn a first victory at Anfield since 2012, when they visit that ground again at the weekend. Liverpool is getting into shape as their big-money signings have been meeting expectations in recent weeks, so Arsenal will meet a Liverpool side that is better than the one City met.
The Challenge at Anfield
City won that game, but Liverpool had been reduced to ten men before City scored, and Arsenal will find it harder to win. The Reds’ improvement makes them a dangerous opponent, and the Gunners cannot afford to underestimate them.
Anfield is always a tough place to go, and Arsenal’s record there is poor, which adds to the challenge. The fans will expect a response, and the players know that a win is essential to keep pace with City.

What Arsenal Must Do
It is a fixture that Arsenal just have to win because even though Liverpool has improved, Arsenal is still the more stable team and the team expected to win the match and win the league title. Picking up a draw would not be the end of the world, but losing at Anfield would be disappointing and could even affect the confidence of the Arsenal players.
The Gunners’ consistency has been their strength, and they must show that again at Anfield. The match is a test of their title credentials, and the players must rise to the occasion. The pressure is on, but Arsenal have the quality to get a result.
Liverpool’s improvement makes them a real threat, but Arsenal’s stability gives them an edge. The fans will be hoping for a strong performance, and the players must deliver. The outcome could shape the title race.
