DETROIT (WSAW) - Green Bay takes a trip to Ford Field on the hunt for their fourth straight win this season, and their third against the Lions.
Jordan Love leads an offensive explosion on the opening drive, completing two 20-plus-yard passes, one to Matthew Golden and another to Savion Williams. However, Green Bay will have to settle for a field goal, calling on Trey Smack from 26 yards out.
After getting iced by a Packers penalty, Smack’s first attempt is good, but he misses his second try just outside the right upright, 0-0 with ten minutes left in the first quarter.
The Lions capitalize and take the 10-0 lead with a Jameson Williams touchdown followed by a field goal.
Green Bay bites back with a 14-yard Love-to-Tucker Kraft connection to finally put the Packers on the board in the final minute of the first quarter, 10-7.
Love and company will march right back to the scoreboard in the third quarter. Josh Jacobs takes the carry, scoring his first touchdown of the season from 25 yards out, 14-10 Packers.
Williams will score his second touchdown of the day to retake the Detroit lead, 17-14.
Then the special teams woes reemerge for the Packers; Trey Smack will tie the game in the fourth quarter with a field goal, 17-17.
However, Smack misses his second field goal attempt of the day in the final minutes of the game, making way for a Lions walk-off field goal, 20-17 final.
