Dez Bryant reveals disturbing details of gunpoint police encounter
Bryant told OutKick he was threatened by two men who cut him off while driving on Sunday but soon found himself at gunpoint when police arrived.
"He got to threatening me and basically said ... he'll shoot me or whatever," Bryant said of one of the two men who allegedly cut him off.
The former Cowboys receiver admitted to knocking a phone out of one man's hand during their encounter in a parking lot. It was at that point that one of the men called police, and Bryant said an officer pulled a gun on him in front of his children.
"I was really more so concerned about my children, you know, looking at their dad being on the ground with a gun pointed at me," Bryant said. Bryant wasn't with his children when the incident began; his girlfriend arrived with them and filmed the incident.
Bryant was cited for assault, while the other two men were briefly detained but ultimately allowed to leave, Bryant said.
