The Philadelphia Eagles have been without Saquon Barkley since he sustained a hamstring injury in the first quarter of the 24-20 Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. While injuries have been the story for the franchise so far this season, it appears Barkley is finally ready to return for the “Monday Night Football” game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Philadelphia revealed its official inactive list for the Week 7 matchup against its divisional rival. Barkley's name was nowhere to be found. That means the 29-year-old running back is set to make his return against the Cowboys.

Saquon Barkley will have a chance to finally right the ship and produce some offense for the Eagles. When healthy this season, the nine-year veteran has not been all that productive. He enters Monday's contest with just 182 rushing yards on 36 attempts. His 45.5 rushing yards per game is the lowest in his career since the 2020-21 campaign when he was limited to two games with the New York Giants due to a serious right knee injury.
With Barkley available again, that will push Dameon Pierce to the backup spot, while Elijah Mitchell will serve as the third-string running back. Considering the number of injuries on the roster, there is a chance the three-time Pro Bowler will be heavily featured against the Cowboys' questionable defense.
This is the first time in several years that Barkley missed several weeks due to injuries. However, he still has plenty of time to turn things around and help the Eagles this year.
