Troy Aikman appeared for his regular 7 pm call-in spot during 'Monday Night Countdown' on ESPN before Monday's Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia.

The former Cowboys quarterback spoke with a panel of Jason Kelce, Jason McCourty, Marcus Spears, Kurt Warner, and Pat McAfee, while looking particularly bloodshot.

Aikman, 59, is embroiled in a split from Joe Buck, his on-air commentating partner for 22 years. Buck put pen to paper on an extension in early October, while Aikman is planning to test the free-agent market.

Before the pair even appeared together for Week 7, Aikman was attracting attention for his appearance online.

"Can someone please get Troy Aikman some eye drops??? How does his stylist or makeup artist not tell him his eyes are blood red?? Sheeeeeesh," one fan wrote on X. "Once again Troy Aikman with the severely bloodshot eyes on Monday Night Football. The glasses don't help and actually magnify it," another noted.

Others had a different theory. "Troy Aikman looks like he’s been crying for a minute during this interview on the Monday Night Countdown," a fan posted on X.
