Monday Night Football rekindled a heated rivalry between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys as coach Brian Schottenheimer's team prepared to take the field with two players ruled out. The Cowboys' defense was the subject of trade rumors as former Dallas draft pick, player and ESPN analyst Marcus Spears had a message for Eagles fans prior to the game.
Eagles fans began chanting ‘Dallas Sucks!' which drew the ire of the longtime former Cowboys defensive tackle.
“Y'all do too,” Spears responded as the two fanbases traded barbs in Philly.

The two teams split the season series in 2025-26 with each winning on their home fields. The Eagles had won three of four in the series heading into Monday Night Football's Week 7 clash but came in with a depleted roster that was missing star QB Jalen Hurts.
The Cowboys hoped to turn the tide behind their explosive Dak Prescott-led passing attack, following a truth bomb from Schottenheimer's signal caller that read like a call-to-action after a rough performance in a losing effort at Green Bay in Week 7.
Tanner McKee was expected to get the start for Nick Sirianni's Sean Mannion-led offense, which underwent big changes heading into the game. The Cowboys' defense hoped to counter by holding down the Eagles' banged-up running game and forcing Mannion's team to be one-dimensional.
Spears knows first-hand the intensity that the Eagles vs. Cowboys rivalry can bring. He showed no fear in calling out Eagles fans ahead of a game that looks like a must-win for both teams should they still harbor any playoff aspirations for the 2026-27 season.
