ESPN traveled to Pennsylvania in Week 7 for an NFC East matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. All the network’s biggest stars were there. Stephen A. Smith joined Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones in a suite. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were obviously there to call the game as ESPN announced who would be performing at halftime of their final game as broadcast partners.
Even Pat McAfee was there after**spending a scary weekend in Utah**. McAfee was there for “Monday Night Countdown,” which is one of his many roles at ESPN. During the pregame he hung out on the field with Jason Kelce, the former Eagles center who was there to hand out beer at a wedding in the parking lot.
Once inside for the broadcast, Kelce was greeted on the field by Eagles’ chief security officer “Big Dom” DiSandro.
“Big Dom,” wearing a “Straight Outta Philly” t-shirt, brought Kelce and McAfee cannolis in takeout containers. McAfee tried to get DiSandro to share some more details on the broadcast, but he wanted nothing to do with it. As he backed away he told McAfee, “get me off the microphone.”

For such an omnipresent figure on the Philadelphia sidelines, DiSandro apparently wants to maintain some mystery. That’s why it was so surprising to see him talking about fixing the Eagles earlier this season.
If an old friend like Kelce is in town, or if an opposing player gets hurt, DiSandro is quick to show up with food, but don’t ask too many questions. He just wants to drop off the food. You want to know what’s in the container? Open it and find out for yourself.
