Eagles reach low not seen in 10 years with five-game losing streak image
The Eagles have had far more highs than lows in recent years, but as far as lows go, what the franchise is experiencing right now is one of the most difficult.
A 38-21 "Monday Night Football" loss to the Cowboys marked the Eagles' fifth consecutive loss, knocking Philadelphia to 2-5 and taking the reigning NFC East champions further out of the playoff picture.
Injuries are the driving force behind the Eagles' slide, but that won't comfort fans who are used to competing for championships.
Here's a look at how the Eagles' current losing streak compares to their longest in recent history.

Eagles longest losing streaks
The Eagles' franchise-record losing streak is 14 games, or 11 in the Super Bowl era. They are not close to reaching either record. They are, however, now on their worst losing streak in a decade.
Philadelphia has lost at least five consecutive games only three times in the 21st century: 2012, 2016 and now 2026.
The Eagles last lost five straight during Carson Wentz and coach Doug Pederson's rookie season in 2016, when they dropped from 5-4 to 5-9. If they lose to the Commanders next Sunday night, the Eagles' streak will be their longest since they lost eight in a row in Andy Reid's final season.
The Eagles went just 4-11-1 during Pederson's final season in 2020, but they only lost four consecutive games at their worst point. As an ugly 2026 presses on, Philadelphia has already surpassed that mark — and Jalen Hurts' absence isn't the only reason: the defense has also cratered, allowing at least 375 yards in each loss.
Eagles total yards allowed during 5 game losing streak: 416 399 408 415 375

With the Giants also winning in Week 7, the Eagles find themselves 2.5 games behind first place in the NFC East.
